Every Individual will see that image uniquely - Film Photography, Capturing Memories and Excellence with Ian Kiffin

Ian Kiffin is a freelance photographer who has travelled the world and delivered quality services to his clients. He was worked for clients such as M&S, Shell and Samsung

Ian is also a creative director at Black Love Love Black. Bebe (Ian’s Sister) has created a lifestyle brand that embodies black excellence and positivity. Today, Ian comes onto the podcast to talk about travelling, capturing memories, and creating a sustainable, timeless, and excellent brand.

I enjoyed having Ian on the podcast to talk about things I love to do, such as travelling and photography. I liked hearing about the places he has travelled to and the memories he made while doing it. There are two photos that I mentioned in the podcast that Ian took. One was from Morocco, and the other was of his son. I wanted to say why I loved both of these. Morocco looks lush, and it is a place I want to travel to one day and the photo he took captures such a beautiful moment by the water. I think this is just a whole moment that was captured.

The photo of his son is sweet. There are two reasons why I like it. First, it is just a well taken shot. The shadows work well. How he centred his son in the window is perfect for dragging your eye to the spot. The second reason I like that it is a memory that probably evokes positive feelings, and his son can have this image forever and always remember it.

I found it interesting to hear how he approaches working from a place of excellence. It is good to hear that he tries his best in everything he does. We must understand what excellence looks like in our lives. There’s a podcast called High Performance which I honestly love. My Working from a place of excellence stems from what the lads at high performance say. They ask all their guests what does high performance mean to them? To me, working from a place of excellence and high performance are similar. It could even be what high performance means. I feel that I want to be the best I can too, I want to be able to do the world-class basics and succeed in all aspects of my life (Mental, Physical, Money and Relationships)

Also, to mention the black business show, it was such an inspiring place. Seeing black people thriving and showing their talent/skills was just awesome. It showed a different narrative that is put out by the news. I was sitting a talk called Media Representation: How to engage a new generation. I was so inspired listening to some of the guests talking about their experiences how they are where they are. I said to myself, ‘I want to be there one day…

The connections made during that show also meant I was able to meet Ian and be inspired by him because I love what he is doing, and there are aspects of his life that I’d love to be doing, so thank you again for coming Ian. Thank you for reading this!
